Detectives in South Yorkshire will today renew their appeal to help find the killer of a mother who was brutally murdered in Sheffield 20 years ago.
Patricia Grainger, 25, was strangled, stabbed and sexually assaulted in Parson Cross before her body was found dumped in woodland nearby.
Despite numerous appeals by police and her son Daniel since 1997, Patricia’s killer has never been found.
Daniel was just five-years-old when his mother’s body was found. In the last few years her set up the website whokilledmymum.com to highlight the case and find the answers he is looking for.
Today, there will be an increased police presence in Parson Cross where officers will be speaking to residents about Patricia in the hope of jogging their memory.
